Friday Night Movie Review

Man of Steel

When you recreate a legend, you had better do it right.  If you don't, then the fans may take it upon themselves to come to your house and burn it down.  Ang Lee.... we haven't forgotten about that Hulk movie you made.  Life of Pi does not make up for that kind of travesty.

Well with that being said, let's get back to the fact that I went to see Man of Steel Friday night.  Thankfully, I can safely say, that it most certainly was done right.  In this movie a legend is reborn, while still staying true to the classic origin story, and giving you so much more.

This movie is Superman, but the look, and the overall feel of this movie is unlike any other Superman incarnation that we have seen to date.  If you are a fan of Superman and even if you aren't a fan of Superman, I'll say this as simple as possible.  Go and See this movie.  It is two and a half hours of pure fun.

That is all.

  1. The one thing I loved about Superman, from the time I was a child 50 years ago, was the story of Krypton, and Ka el's inner struggle about becoming the man of steel, his coming of age knowing he's different. Of all the super heroes that were created after him, none capatured that struggle. Superman has heart. I am so glad that these producers brought that story alive again. Very well done.
